Shrimp Cocktail – Coctel de Cameron

This is one of my favorite Mexican food recipes because it’s so easy and fast to make. It can be used as an appetizer or an entree. Your guests will love it and they’ll be begging you for the recipe!

Mexican Shrimp Cocktail/Coctel de Cameron

Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 sm. onion diced
  • 1 lime
  • 2 lg. roma tomatoes diced
  • 1/4 of a bunch of cilantro chopped finely
  • 1-2 avocados (the black looking ones not hass) diced
  • 2 16oz. bags of cooked medium shrimp shelled and chopped
  • 2 c. ketchup

Preparation:

  • Take shrimp washing it well and de-shell the ends
  • Chop & dice ingredients
  • add all ingredients together, squeezing lime juice into it, mixing well & refrigerate 30 minutes

Serving Suggestions:

Use tostadas topping them off with the shrimp cocktail, adding one of Tia Lavoria’s Salsas &/or sour cream!

*The tin plate is a regular garden salad with the added shrimp cocktail!
